Personal Computer Requirements

As of Fall 2019, these are the most recent details regarding the requirements for personal computers for use at UB:

No Chromebooks – Many UB courses require the use of Respondus Lockdown Browser for test-taking. Respondus Lockdown Browser is not compatible with Chromebooks.

Webcam – Many UB online courses require the use of Respondus Lockdown Browser with Monitor. This means that you will be required to record yourself and your surroundings before and during your test, and a webcam is required to facilitate this. If your computer does not already have a webcam, we recommend an external Logitech brand webcam.
